Douglas Brodie is a twenty something year old Scot living in West Virginia. And if that doesn’t make him a big enough outsider, did I mention he’s a Wizard?

Douglas isn’t a detective, lately he’s been working at the local Wal-mart to make ends meet. Being a wizard isn’t a profession, it’s a calling. Douglas helps people. Sometimes they come asking for help and other times they don’t even know they need it.

Unfortunately for Douglas, being a wizard isn’t nearly as fun as fiction makes out. Wizards may be subtle and quick to anger, but there are far more powerful and dangerous beings in the world.
